Abstract:

Alumina supports with different structures and properties were prepared by precipitating aluminum nitrate solution with different concentrations of ammonium carbonate solution, and then cobalt was loaded on them to obtain a catalyst for removing CO from hydrogen rich gas. The characterization and evaluation results show that the phase composition of alumina precursor can be simply and efficiently controlled and optimized, the structure, morphology, texture properties and pore size distribution of alumina can be adjusted, and thus the particle size, reduction, dispersion and surface chemical properties of loaded cobalt can be adjusted, by changing the concentration of ammonium carbonate. Finally, the catalytic performance of CO removal from hydrogen rich gas can be optimized, and the residual amount of CO is only 0.2 nmol/L, fully meeting the use requirements of Pt electrode fuel cell.
