Research on Control Strategy for Unified Power Quality Conditioner

Abstract:

Unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) has been researched by scholars at home and abroad because it is most attractive measure to improve power quality of power distribution system or microgrid. Under given topological structure and compensation, the performances of UPQC depend mainly upon control strategy. Therefore the linear control strategy, nonlinear control strategy, intelligent control strategy of UPQC, are reviewed in this paper. Advantages and disadvantages of current control strategy of UPQC are pointed out. The new passivity based hybrid control strategy and the fusion of different control strategies are given to overcome the disadvantages of current control strategy. The above content can be used as the reference for researcher.
