Abstract:

The turbine rotor is one of the most fragile components of the power plant, whose life is equal to the life of the unit. The rotor is subjected to the maximum equivalent stress during the process of start-up or shutdown, so it is particularly important to grasp the life of the unit under different starting modes. A power plant was taken as an example to build three-dimensional model, mesh, and analyzed temperature field and stress field of the unit under the forward warming and backward warming ways, and the life of the unit was finally evaluated. The life loss of the unit under two starting modes was obtained and the advantages and disadvantages of the two starting modes were compared to provide reasonable suggestions for selecting suitable starting mode for different units.
