Abstract: Technology supervision has been conducted at electric power generating enterprises on power generating equipment by means of equipment monitoring and data anal-ysis.So far, this kind of technology supervision merely falls into the sphere of technology management.This paper attempts to analyze the technology supervision from such economic perspectives as principal-agent relations, game playing, and cost-benefit analysis.Based on this analysis, some policy suggestions are proposed.Hopefully, such an economic analysis of technology supervision could be a step forward to rationalize and revitalize the technology su-pervision as conducted at electric power generating enterpris-es.
