Abstract:In order to address the problem of renewable energy accommodation caused by the integration of large-scale renewable energy power generation into the power system, we proposed a quantitative method for the accommodating capacity of urban renewable energy, and a method to improve the accommodating capacity based on virtual power plants. Firstly, the issue of renewable energy accommodation, and the basic concepts of virtual power plants were introduced. Then, for wind power and photovoltaic power generation, a quantitative analysis of absorption capacity was proposed from the perspective of peak shaving margins. Moreover, the quantitative analysis method of accommodating capacity was developed based on the time of abandonment and the amount of abandonment. Finally, a method of using electric vehicles and flexible loads to improve the absorption capacity of urban renewable energy was proposed and further verified by case studies.

    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 298-305(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.20063
Abstract:In the long-term operation of MW-level energy storage power stations composed of series and parallel connections, the inconsistency of battery cells will occur. Because the variation characteristics of voltage and temperature can directly reflect the inconsistency between battery cells in energy storage power station, the statistical characteristics of battery cell consistency in energy storage power station were analyzed by using extreme difference voltage, accumulated extreme difference voltage, voltage standard deviation, extreme difference temperature, accumulated extreme difference temperature of energy storage battery. By analyzing the statistical characteristics of the consistency of battery cells on a long-term scale, combined with the on-site operating status of energy storage battery, abnormal battery cells can be found in time, which can provide data support for the health assessment of energy storage power station, and reduce the systematic operation risk of energy storage power station.

Lei ZHANG, Jiying LI, Qinwei LI, Mince ZHANG, Yunfeng GUO, Lidong ZHANG
    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 306-312(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.20012
Abstract:Due to the randomness and volatility of the wind direction, wind turbine orientation control used on the yaw system of the wind turbine, and the failure of the wind turbine led by yaw frequently. The current situation of yaw control strategy was reviewed. The execution strategy and reboot strategy were reviewed separately. It is concluded that most of the yaw execution strategy research were still implemented on simulation tools, and the wind direction prediction was more reflected in the yaw execution strategy. Few studies have been carried out on yaw reboot strategy, which is mainly to modify the threshold value of wind speed and direction. Yaw control strategy can reduce the probability of failure, increase the power of wind farms and improve the overall economic benefits.

  • Anomaly Detection of Wind Turbines Based on Deep Small-World Neural Network

    Yaguang LI, Meng LI
    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 313-321(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.20091
Abstract:Accurate and efficient condition monitoring is the key to enhance the reliability and security of wind turbines. In recent years, the intelligent anomaly detection method based on deep neural networks (DNN) has been receiving increasing attention. Since accurately labeled data are usually difficult to obtain in real industries, this paper proposed a novel deep small-world neural network (DSWNN) on the basis of unsupervised learning to detect the early failure of wind turbines. During the deep belief network (DBN) construction, a regular auto-encoder network with multiple restricted Boltzmann machines (RBM) was first stacked and pre-trained by using unlabeled supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) data of wind turbines. After that, the trained network was transformed into a DSWNN model by the randomly add-edges method, where the network parameters are fine-tuned by using minimal amounts of labeled data. In order to deal with the disturbances of wind speed and reduce false alarms, an adaptive threshold based on extreme value theory was presented as the criterion of anomaly judgment. The DSWNN model is excellent in depth mining data characteristics and accurate measurements. Finally, two failure cases of wind turbine anomaly detection were given to demonstrate the validity and accuracy of the proposed DSWNN contrasted with the DBN and DNN algorithms.

    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 322-328(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.20041
Abstract:The gas-solid flow state determines the gas-solid mixing, heat and mass transfer characteristics in the fluidized bed, and plays an important role in the design, operation and monitoring of the fluidized bed device. In a self-built cold gas-solid bubbling fluidized bed, voidage fluctuation signals were measured using the particle concentration measuring instrument at the center of the fluidized bed under different working conditions, and were analyzed by chaotic theory using Kolmogorov entropy. The influences of apparent gas velocity, static bed height and bed size were studied. It shows the apparent gas velocity has the largest influence on Kolmogorov entropy, followed by the static bed height, and the smallest is bed size.

    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 329-335(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.20050
Abstract:The two/three-dimensional distribution image of furnace temperature can be obtained by furnace acoustic tomographic temperature measurement system. The distribution of ultrasonic probes will directly affect its imaging accuracy. Four-side and four-corner distribution of 8, 12 and 16 ultrasonic probes were studied, respectively. Tikhonov regularization algorithm was adopted to obtain the temperature distribution under coarse mesh, and then the local weighted regression method was used to predict the temperature distribution after mesh refinement. Typical temperature field distributions reconstruction was carried out for the 6 probe distributions, and the root mean square error and correlation coefficient were analyzed. The results show that the highest accuracy can be obtained using 16 four-side distribution probes.

    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 336-342(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.19083
Abstract:Based on computational fluid dynamics software, with k-ε turbulence model, discrete phase model (DPM) and magneto hydro dynamics (MHD) model, the numerical simulation study of electrostatic precipitator (ESP) system was carried out on multi-field conditions. The numerical simulation results show that, with guide plate and distribution plate, flow deviation of ESP chamber inlet, particle phase flow rate and the first electric field entrance section were improved significantly. Flow deviation of ESP chamber inlet is within ±1%, the root mean square error of gas flow velocity on the ESP inlet section is no more than 0.25. The dedusting efficiency of the model which was calculated at different power supply voltages and inlet flow rates show that, the efficiency of electric dust removal is positively correlated with the supply voltage and negatively correlated with the inlet velocity, which agrees with the reality.

    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 343-349(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.20043
Abstract:The CFD-DPM (computational fluid dynamics-discrete particle model) and the response surface methodology has been performed to optimize the geometrical ratios of cyclone separator. The research results illustrate that the most significant geometrical parameter is the vortex finder diameter. Other four factors have significant effects on the cyclone performance viz., the inlet width, inlet height, the cyclone total height, and the vortex finder length. In addition, there were strong interactions between the effect of the inlet width and inlet height, inlet dimensions and the vortex finder diameter on the pressure drop. There were strong interactions between the effect of the vortex finder diameter and inlet height, the vortex finder length and the cyclone total height on the separation efficiency. Finally, a new set of geometrical ratios was obtained to achieve minimum pressure drop and maximum separation efficiency. When the value of a/D, b/D, Dx/D, H/D, S/D was 0.40, 0.26, 0.34, 6.28, 0.66, respectively, the minimum pressure drop was 2.32kPa and the maximum separation efficiency was 99.27%.

    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 350-356(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.21029
Abstract:In order to solve the problem of low denitrification efficiency caused by the uneven mixing of ammonia and flue gas with an F-class gas turbine horizontal arranged waste heat boiler denitrification system, numerical simulations, lab-scale model experiments and engineering tests were carried out to study the effects of the approach of ammonia injection optimization. The numerical simulation results show that with adding a guide plate, the flue gas velocity gradient at the inlet plane of the ammonia injection decreases significantly, and the flue gas velocity distribution at the inlet plane of catalyst-bed is nearly uniform. The model experiment results show that the standard deviation of flue gas velocity at the catalyst-bed inlet plane decreases to 10.7%, and the standard deviation of ammonia concentration decreases to 6.06%. It indicates that the flue gas and ammonia are mixed well, and the flue gas velocity field is uniform. The engineering test results show that with the addition of the guide plate, the NOx concentration in the outlet plane of the catalyst-bed is uniformly distributed, all the measured NOx concentrations are less than 30mg/Nm3, and the NOx concentration deviation is less than 15%, indicating that this method could effectively improve the denitrification system.

Abstract:It is necessary to optimize the pulverizing system to meet the higher and higher requirements of the power generation unit for the pulverizing system. Through the detailed analysis and research of medium speed pulverizer and pulverized coal pipelines, the crux was found and the optimization measures of pulverizer and dynamic leveling method of pulverized coal pipelines were put forward. Abstract:In order to improve the refrigeration performance of thermoelectric refrigeration box, the common thermoelectric (semiconductor) refrigeration box on the market was analyzed, and the structure between the refrigeration assembly of the refrigeration box and the wall of the box was explored. SolidWorks Flow Simulation was used to model and simulate the structure between the refrigeration assembly and the wall of the refrigeration box. The effects of gravity, fan direction, groove size and bracket on the refrigeration performance of semiconductor refrigeration box were analyzed. It is concluded that when the groove size is fixed, the cooling performance of thermoelectric refrigeration box is optimal when the gravity direction is at the longest side of the box size, the direction of fan intake is suction and symmetrical bracket is added in the groove. The four sides of the support are cut out as many circles as possible, and the larger the circle is, the better.

    Vol. 42, Issue 3, Pages: 389-394(2021) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.18246
Abstract:In order to study the effect of the conductor rotor of a hybrid PMG with radial and axial magnetic circuits on the vibration of the hybrid PMG, firstly, a rotor simulation model of the hybrid permanent magnet governor was established and the vibration reasons of the hybrid permanent magnet governor were analyzed. Secondly, based on Donnell's shell theory, a hybrid PMG conductor rotor model was established. Finally, finite element software was used to complete the vibration simulation analysis of the PMG conductor rotor. The results show that the higher the thickness difference between the axial and radial conductor rotors, the worse the vibration effect of the conductor rotors. The radial conductor rotor can suppress the vibration of the axial conductor rotor. The vibration effect of the conductor rotor is proportional to the thick-diameter ratio and inversely proportional to the length-diameter ratio.
