Abstract:Energy plays an increasingly significant role in the development of modern society and economy. China's resource characteristics determine that coal-fired power generation will occupy a dominant position in energy system for a long time. Large-capacity and high-parameter coal-fired power generation system is one of the most feasible technical approaches to realize coal energy clean and efficient utilization and the most important way to ensure the national power supply. Coal-fired power generation system in China is under the background of energy structure change and the parameters of the double demand theory and technology. This paper summarizes the research progress of new theories and methods for efficient and clean operation of high-parameter coal-fired generating units in key unit, process and system integration. Therefore, coal-fired generating units can generate electricity efficiently and achieve ultra-low emission of pollutants.

    Rongrong ZHAI, Hongtao LIU
    Vol. 40, Issue 4, Pages: 316-322(2019) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.19042
Abstract:To reveal the influence of heat transfer and heat source temperature on system performance in finite time, and the theoretical basis of solar-aided coal-fired power generation system, the relationship between output power, efficiency and cycle parameters in finite time thermodynamic system was improved. The significance of each parameter and its influence on system performance were discussed in combination with the case of solar-aided coal-fired power generation system. The results show that the system design of 500 MW and 1 000 MW coal-fired generating units is reasonable, and the output efficiency is between C-A efficiency and ideal cycle efficiency. The integrated system efficiency is reduced to some extent. The performance of 1000 MW integrated system deteriorates under the coal saving mode, and the efficiency is lower than C-A efficiency. Therefore, the system process needs to be improved. The efficiency of 200 MW coal-fired power generation system before and after integration is lower than the C-A efficiency, indicating that the system process needs to be greatly improved.

Yizhan CHAI, Zhen YANG, Yuanyuan DUAN
    Vol. 40, Issue 4, Pages: 323-328(2019) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.19070
Abstract:Coal ash deposit is important to the heat transfer of ultra-supercritical boilers. Its radiation characteristics are very important for accurately describing the heat transfer in the boiler. Based on the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), a high-temperature normal spectral emissivity measurement platform was established. The platform can measure radiation of 3-14μm wavelengths and 373-873K temperatures. The measurement results for the platform were calibrated with standard samples. The emissivity of artificial ash samples was measured. The artificial ash emissivity has a remarkable spectral distribution characteristic, which is lower in the short wavelength and higher in the long wavelength. As the temperature rises, the artificial ash spectral emissivity increases. As the Fe2O3 content increases, the spectral emissivity of the overall artificial ash sample rises in the full spectrum.

Jianhua WANG, Peipei FAN, Feng SHI, Daotong CHONG
    Vol. 40, Issue 4, Pages: 329-338(2019) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.19071
Abstract:The safety of equipment under flexible operation is an important issue in the deep peak shaving process of coal-fired power plants. As large-scale, high-temperature and pressure-bearing heat exchangers, high-pressure heaters play an important role in the flexibility regulation of the unit. However, safety problems are severe. Therefore, a three-dimensional finite element model was established for the No.1 high-pressure heater of a 660 MW supercritical coal-fired power plant, to assess the distributions of transient temperature fields, thermal stress fields, mechanical stress fields and coupling stress fields of the heater under different feedwater bypass regulations. Moreover, the stress variations were carried out in four key areas including water chamber outlet, steam inlet pipe, the upper side of the tube sheet and the lower side of the tube sheet. The results show that as the bypass degree increases, the fluctuation range of thermal stresses, mechanical stresses and coupling stresses increases. The maximum thermal stress locates at the steam inlet pipe, the maximum mechanical stress locates at the lower side of tube sheet and the maximum coupling stress corresponds to the upper side of tube sheet. The upper side of tube sheet is the most dangerous part of the high-pressure heater, which needs to be paid attention to and repaired in advance.

Debo LI, Chengliang CUI, Yongjun JIANG, Weimin SHI, Pengfei ZHANG, Fei MO, Yanfen LIAO, Xiaoqian MA
    Vol. 40, Issue 4, Pages: 347-354(2019) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.19005
Abstract:Factsage thermodynamic simulation software and XRD analysis method were used to study the ash fusion characteristics of mixed fuel which was mixed by coal and three municipal sludges in different proportions. The results show that when the sludge addition amount does not exceed 10%, because alkaline oxides forms low temperature eutectic and the phosphorus minerals react to form amorphous mineral, the new mineral lead ash fusion temperature to decrease with the proportion of sludge added increasing. The predicted trend of the ash fusion characteristics is basically consistent with the regularity of actual measured data. The reaction between minerals is affected by combustion temperature, and it hardly occurs at low temperature; when the temperature rises, the minerals react with each other to form new minerals.

Abstract:Coal-fired power plants is one of the main stationary sources of atmospheric Hg emissions. Based on literature research, source and generation of Hg in flue gas from coal-fired power plants, the existing equipment collaborative Hg removal technology and adsorbent injection Hg removal technology after combustion, the off-line test method of flue gas Hg in coal-fired power plants, the Hg emission characteristics of flue gas from coal-fired power plants before and after the implementation of ultra-low emission were summarized. It is necessary for coal-fired power plants to implement stricter Hg emission control of flue gas. Modified activated carbon and modified fly ash injection Hg removal technology will be the mainstream technology to cope with stricter Hg emission limits in the future. It provides a reference for the Hg emission control of flue gas in coal-fired power plants.

Abstract:In order to realize zero discharge of desulfurization wastewater, evaporation and crystallization technology of desulfurization wastewater with high temperature flue gas has gradually developed. The decomposition of crystalline salts in desulfurization wastewater evaporation process is probably the key problem that may influence the further application of evaporation technology. This paper briefly introduced the characteristics of desulphurization wastewater in thermal power plants and the stability of salt during evaporation and crystallization. The thermal decomposition mechanism of hydrated magnesium chloride was introduced emphatically. The comprehensive analysis shows that magnesium chloride and ammoniate will be decomposed to produce hydrogen chloride gas and ammonia respectively, which will increase the content of chlorine ion in the desulphurization wastewater and ammonia concentration at chimney outlet. Finally, the quality reduction of fly ash in the evaporation process with by-pass high-temperature flue gas was also discussed.

    Vol. 40, Issue 4, Pages: 367-376(2019) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.18234
Abstract:With the increasing demands on the environment, the rational treatment and disposal of garbage is playing an important role in practicing the concept of green development and promoting the construction of ecological civilization. This view of "garbage is a resource placed in the wrong place" is gaining more and more recognition. Municipal solid waste (MSW) incineration power generation technology as a method of solid waste utilization has evolved into a mature resource utilization technology. This paper compares the domestic and international MSW incineration technologies from the top, middle and lower reaches of the waste incineration power generation industry, namely the characteristics of MSW, combustion technology and flue gas control. The results show MSW incineration technology is still an indispensable means to achieve waste reduction and resource reduction. However, it is necessary to upgrade the incineration techno-logy, improve the MSW incineration process, strictly control the emission of pollutants in the incineration flue gas, and establish real-time monitoring points to avoid secondary pollution.

  • Optimal Design Method for Wind Turbine Blades Considering Aerofoil of Cross-section

Yongqian LIU, Fuxing LAI, Jie YAN, Zixin CHEN, Li LI, Shuang HAN, Yong WANG
    Vol. 40, Issue 4, Pages: 382-388(2019) DOI: 10.12096/j.2096-4528.pgt.19031
Abstract:Most traditional methods for optimizing the blade design have no consideration on the aerofoils of cross-section, which makes the blade design difficult to achieve the optimal solution. To solve this problem, this paper proposed an optimal design method for wind turbine blades considering different cross-section aerofoils. The proposed method took cross-section aerofoils, chord length and torsion angle as design variables, takeing relative thickness and relative camber constraints into consideration and aimed at maximizing annual energy production. Genetic algorithm model for optimizing the design parameters of blades was established. Taking a 1.5 MW wind turbine as example, the proposed design method was verified. The results show that the power coefficient of the optimized blade has been significantly improved by considering the cross-section aerofoils; the power coefficient of wind turbine can be maintained around the optimal value, which makes it easier to control the wind turbine to tracking the power curve and capture the maximum wind energy; and also the annual energy production is increased. At the same time, taking relative thickness and relative camber constraints into consideration makes the method closer to the actual engineering application.
